Internal suspicious activity report
1. How to report a suspicion
- If you know or suspect, or have reasonable grounds for knowing or suspecting, that someone is laundering money or financing terrorism, report it to the nominated officer on this form as soon as practicable (POCA 2002 s.330; Terrorism Act 2000 s.21A).
- A suspicion from any part of the business’s work counts, property management included (HMRC AMLG2200).
- Do not assume another business in the chain will report it (HMRC AMLG2200).
- Do not tell the customer or anyone outside the reporting line that you have made a report or that it is being looked into: disclosing it is an offence where it is likely to prejudice an investigation (POCA 2002 s.333A; Terrorism Act 2000 s.21D).
Formal process for reporting suspicion to the MLRO: The business has a written process for staff to report suspicious activity to the MLRO. Last reviewed or completed: 1 June 2025.
